From Green Screen to Museum of Iceceam

So this week in class my instructor asked up to take a picture in front of a green screen and put yourself anywhere you want to go. Of course I could've put myself anywhere in the world but there is no place I would rather visit right now than the Museum of Ice cream in California. This place is so pretty with so many exhibits of ice cream and everything associated with it. From pools of sprinkles to giant popsicle coming out the walls this place is definitely on my list of must visits.

The Museum of Ice cream is so dreamy on the inside. Of course I haven't seen any of it with my naked eyes but the pictures of everyone else like Beyonce and Kim K, tempt me to take my own pictures there. But until then I will have to live my dream through adobe and this green screen.

Just look at this place don't you want to visit too!

So this is the picture I took in front of a green screen. You'll need a photo that you can use as your background but it should make sense with the green screen picture you took. Like don't take a picture running or jumping but your background is somewhere indoors and quiet.

Then import both of your photos into adobe premiere pro. Add both photos into your story board the picture of you goes in the V1 slot and background goes in the V2 slot. Open windows and go to effects control. Find key color and click on the eyedropper tool click the green behind you and it should blend you into the background. You can then double click on you not the background and scale how big, small and where you want to appear. Once you like how you look on your photo add some words by hovering over the new project tab until you see legacy title there you can add font. Find the image with just the words in the box that contained your imported photos and drag it into the V3 slot. Your words should then show up on your picture in the preview box in the top right. You should then see a little camera icon click it and save your jpeg image somewhere you'll be able to find it. Once you learn this one time it gets so much easier and you'll want to try other pictures.

And this is my finished product!

My "visit" at the Museum of Ice Cream. When scaling your image try to make sure it fits in the picture. You shouldn't be the biggest or the smallest thing in the picture. Hopefully after some practice I'll be able to control the color and lighting to match. Watch out world I'm about to start making invitations and parties flyers (just kidding) but you're going to feel like you can after mastering this.

Top 5 Food Places to Try in Orangeburg SC

People are always saying there is nothing good to eat in Orangeburg. This small town housing two universities have more fast food than they do restaurants. The choices of great quality food are limited here. There are actually some great places that most wouldn't notice, but when you're hungry for something different you wont be disappointed trying one these food spots.

These are all 5 of the best places to try if you're sick and tired of eating McDonald's and Cookout.

1. Philly Special

Philly Special is the newest addition to food in orangeburg. Located right across the street from both Claflin and SC State University. This Philly based relationship also offers student discounts to all students that present an ID. Philly cheese steaks are what they are most know for but they have the best fries or frites as they call it, in the whole burg. The also serve really great salads, hoagies, soups and specialtie frites (philly frites) you can literally have a philly cheese steak and all its toppings on top of their amazing fries.

2. Fit Street Deli and Hibachi

Located next to Gold's Gym this deli and hibachi spot is a great healthy option to try, There food is cooked fresh and so yummy. You won't find a lot of greasy fried food here instead you'll find sushi, hibachi plates, subs and the best sweet potato fries. The honey drizzle with cinnamon seasoning will make anyone come back for another try. They're apart of the gyms membership so folks that are signed up to the gym can also eat here at a discounted price. They also offer healthy smoothies and coffee based drinks. This place is a great option for anyone trying to stay in shape but eat good food too.

3. Magnolia Seafood Shack

This place is literally a shack on the side of the road. I passed this place for years before i actually tried it. I was so disappointed that I didn't try it sooner. This place is know for its great seafood and red rice make from scratch. All the food taste so fresh and good their seafood is caught locally. They have a lot of great deals so a meal here won't hurt your pockets. Their buffalo shrimp is a must try or if you prefer something simpler they have some amazing scallops and fried fish. Give this place a try if your longing for some good seafood and red rice.

4. Rosalia's

This Mexican spot is literally out of sight and unless your really looking for it you may never find it. Its beside orangeburg's department for public utilities. Its small on the outside but they offer a outside patio and a bar. The food is a great place for anyone craving Mexican food. The atmosphere here screams you're in mexico and feels like it too. Check this place out if you're in the mood for tacos and enchiladas.

5. Mama's Kountry Kooking

Last but not least Mama's Kountry Kooking. So, I haven't actually tried anything besides they're breakfast but I only hear great things. If you are in the mood for some great grits and eggs or that meal to remind you of home this is the place to try. I think they make their food for the older citizens because the food doesn't come heavily seasoned you will def need a little pack of salt and pepper but for the most part they are sooooo yummy and you won't be disappointed. Give Mama's kountry kookin a try if you need to be reminded of that good ole southern cooking.

Snapseeeeedddd !?

Never heard of it before yeah me either so that was my first initial reaction when my professor instructed us to use this app named Snapseed to edit our pictures. But after the first couple minutes of using the app I quickly realized my life was so lost without it.

Snapseed offers some of the best edits and filters for pictures. The edits are so high quality they don't leave your photo looking grainy or low quality. I was able to turn one of my favorite pictures into something sort of professional looking.
Before Snapseed

I loved this picture that one of my friends took of me but always wished it was brighter and sharper. I initially used Instagram built in filters and edits to try to perfect my photo but I didn't really like the final photo. But that was a whole different story when I used Snapseed.

The first thing I did was brighten the photo so my face was more visible. The next thing I did was sharpen my image so more details would be visible and finally I added a nice portrait blur effect to give my photo that polished finished look.
After Snapseed

The after photo was a brighter, clearer version of the dark blurry picture I originally took.

The first time using the app I didn't want to overly edit my photo I wanted to just see what the app had to offer before I went all out.

By the second time I used this app I was more familiar with some the edits and filters and was able to make a better edited picture.

Before Snapseed

This picture of my super cute dog isn't really dark or blurry so I was super eager to see how I could make this photo really pop.

I brightened the picture up and smoothed out the photo with the portrait edit. You can tell what my quick fix is so far.

After Snapseed

I increased the detail levels on the picture and added some high def resolution so my colors and details would really stand out. The ending result was a really bright high def picture. You can see every detail in his fur and the crumpled blanket in the background.

Snapseed is a great app to make any iPhone photographer feel like a professional one in the matter of minutes. The app is offered across most cellphone platforms so almost anyone cans use it. With its easy to navigate tabs, drag and drop bars, and undo editing setting this app is perfect for new photo editors.
